Penny Guild is a Registered Architect in the State of Victoria. She completed her Bachelor of Architecture with Honours at the University of Melbourne.

Prior to founding Guild Architects, Penny spent two years at Robert Mills Architects & Interior Designers and nine with Zen Architects. At these award winning practices Penny honed her skills in high-end residential design, with a focus on processes (Rob Mills); and she developed commercial acumen and extensive knowledge and expertise in planning regulations and sustainable design principles (Zen).

Penny has lectured and tutored architecture students in Environmental Building Systems (EBS) at the University of Melbourne.  In 2015 (as part of the EBS teaching group) she was awarded the Architecture Building and Planning award for Innovative and Outstanding Program.

Dedicated to the specific and demanding requirements of residential design, Penny’s practice skillfully navigates the common challenges of site, context and regulation, to create high-value design outcomes to time, budget and brief.

In every home Penny designs, she focuses on bringing in abundant natural light, making the most of space, responding to nature and context, and fostering great environments for family and friends.
